Strikingly designed waiting facilities

Jan Kuipers Nunspeet installed 2 eye catching roofs over the passenger platforms of railway station Halfweg-Zwanenburg. A glass shelter is built between the columns of each roof. The canopies are provided with 28 sky lights with integrated lighting. The design is by Wienke Scheltens of Movares.

  • Columns with integrated rainwater drainage, made of sheet steel.
  • Rafter made of thick walled pipe.
  • Consoles made of sheet steel.
  • Hot-dip galvanized, NEN-EN-ISO 1461.
  • Columns finished with triple layer paint system.
  • Steel roof with EPDM cladding, colour coated.
  • Ceiling made out of Alpolic aluminium composite, thick 6 mm, finished with high gloss powder coating.
  • Glass sky lights, Ø approx. 100 cm., with integrated lighting.

  • Size approx. 6,5 x 2 x 2,5 m (l x w x h).
  • Steel columns with steel roof frame.
  • Hot-dip galvanized, NEN-EN-ISO 1461.
  • Columns finished with triple layer paint system.
  • Roof cladding in EPDM.
  • Ceiling made out of wood with integrated lighting.
  • Clear layered safety glass walls in stainless steel frames.
