Double tubular railing
With the program "accessibility" ProRail is improving the accessibility of railway stations, making them better suitable for people with visual or mobility impairments. As part of this program Jan Kuipers Nunspeet has provided over 200 railway stations throughout the Netherlands with contrasting double tubular railings.
The project consists of measuring, designing, producing and installing the railings. The inconvenience to travelers during installation was kept to a minimum. Supplying every location with a customized product and meeting the safety regulations for working in the vicinity of railroad tracks made this an interesting project.
